Even though the Temple closed 11th October 2003, we
will continue to fight the noise control battle, so please sign the petition!
The undersigned, petition that Auckland City Council review
their Noise Control procedures and policies, to ensure the following:
1. That the current imposed noise limit of 55-65db (which is less
than the average conversation, and 5-25 decibels less than the ambient noise level on
Queen Street) are raised to a realistic level
2. That in determining validity of noise complaints decibel
measurements be taken on the property of the complainant.
3. Developers are required to effectively soundproof apartments
4. That the policies within the Arts Agenda are adhered to.
5. That council puts controls in place to ensure complaints are
genuine and are not fraudulent or vexatious .
